New store construction to begin!

It's official: The Dill Pickle Food Co-op is taking a huge leap and jumping in to construction of our new location at 2746 N Milwaukee Ave! We're preparing to fill 10,000 square feet with new products, freshly prepared foods, community programming, and a stellar team of employees!

Are you with us? Here are five ways that Dill Pickle owners have kept us on the road to expansion:

1. Making loans. Over 200 owner-lenders have pushed us beyond our $900K benchmark to kick off construction and order equipment, but we're not out of the concrete jungle just yet. At 95% toward our goal, we need a final $48K to complete the project and open our doors by springtime. Help make it happen: contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or 773.492.1205 to learn more about investing in your co-op through our Owner Loan Program.

2. Vesting up. Owner equity is the foundation of our cooperative enterprise. Purchase additional equity at $50 a share, up to $500 in fully refundable shares to help us grow. Not sure where your account stands? Call the store at 773.252.COOP

3. Shopping our co-op. Your spending power is epic, and we need you to wield it at our cozy store on Fullerton Ave to fuel the economic engine for expansion. Check out our Co+op Deals flyer and stop in to see what other great produce, dairy, bulk goods, and wellness products we've stocked for you from 80+ local vendors.

4. Spreading the word. We're 1,936 owners strong and counting! We need more people like you in the Dill Pickle family-- so tell your friends, neighbors, colleagues, elected officials and enemies about how they can benefit from joining the only consumer food co-op in Chicago. (C'mon, here's a video to share!)

5. Being leaders. 9 of your fellow owners serve on our Board of Directors and are supported by dozens of others through committee work, outreach, and store shifts. Join our Hands-On Owner Program to get involved and lend your expertise (or eagerness!) in finance, fundraising, community-building, advocacy, and more.

Thanks for being part of this project with us. It's a heavy lift, and we're stronger together. Stay tuned for updates as construction commences!
