What a delightful smoothie this is! The pecans really pack this smoothie with a nutritional punch. They are mineral-rich and are a great source of Vitamin E. Pecans also contain antioxidant compounds that help the body remove toxic oxygen-free radicals and thus, protect the body from diseases, cancers and infections. Cinnamon can reduce inflammation and lower blood sugar levels and cholesterol. The chia seeds are loaded with a omega-3's, essential fatty acids, protein, and fiber. Feel free to add hemp seeds and flax seeds too! For the non-dairy milk, I recommend coconut milk. The strawberries can be either fresh or frozen. This smoothie is fantastic in the morning, and satisfying enough as an after-dinner dessert smoothie! 


  • 1 tbs - chia seeds
  • 2 cups - non-dairy milk
  • 1 cup - strawberries
  • 1 handful - pecans
  • 1/2 tsp - cinnamon
1 5 minutes


Blend up all the ingredients and enjoy! smile
