Why do you wish to serve on the board?

As a parent, small business owner, and avid home cook in this community, I would love to be able to contribute, in a meaningful way, to the success of the locally-supportive food co-op model of the Dill Pickle.

Skills & experience

I have been the owner of a successful small business in Logan Square (Tula Yoga Studio) for the last 6 years. I am familiar with the small business environment of the LS community and the daily challenges that a small business faces. I have also lived in the neighborhood for 13+ years and am familiar with the changing demographics. I am good at marketing, creating community and bringing people to together for a good cause. I served on the board a few years ago and I enjoyed my time contributing to the strengthening of the co-op. I also enjoyed learning about the co-op model and learning about how to navigate the inherent challenges of this model (vs. my single-owner small business). Finally, I have a strong commitment to this neighborhood & community - my husband and I both own businesses here, we own a home here and are raising our 2 children here, so I am excited to contribute in any way I can to a lasting, successful, healthier grocery store for all!
