Sustainability Series: Compost Workshop

  • Dill Pickle Food Co-op 2746 North Milwaukee Avenue Chicago, IL, 60647 United States (map)

Dig into composting and learn how it contributes to life beneath your feet with Nance Klehm, the permaculturist and ecological systems designer behind Chicago's composting ordinance. You'll gain insight into the foundation of our food system and leave with concrete steps to reduce your waste and grow healthy soil through home composting!

This workshop is the first in our new Sustainability Series, offering likeminded neighbors space to connect through highly interactive sessions that deliver practical ways for each of us to reduce our environmental impact.  Join us in the co-op cafe!

--> Tickets are FREE for Dill Pickle owners and $5 for the general public.

The Dill Pickle has worked with Nance through The Ground Rules project for years to transform organic waste from our produce department and deli into nutrient-rich soil for neighborhood gardens. This summer, we're excited to expand this effort with a home composting service for the wider community-- check it out and sign up in-store!
